A very sad tale of the life of a tortured soul beautifully portrayed by Kirk Douglas (apart from his accent). Lust for Life depicts the dramatic personality of the great artist as he struggles with his passion for painting. There isn't much character development for the supporting roles and few close up's which is probably why this was panned by some critics. Overall it's quite a riviting story and worth watching.
